Beaches and Nature
Beaches
Very close to Hotel Admiral, you can enjoy beaches as spectacular as these:
- Cala Sardina
This beach is easy to reach both by car and on foot and is accessible to people with reduced mobility. It is a virgin and quiet beach with a length of 900 metres. It has parking spaces, showers, footbaths, beach bar, toilets and is cleaned daily.
- Torreguadiaro
This beach is also easy to access, with dark sand and is 1.5 km long. Nearby is the Natural Park of Torreguadiaro, the Sotogrande Marina and the two watchtowers from the 15th century. In its beach bars and on the beach, in its avenue, there is a wide and varied gastronomic offer and it has numerous public services.
- The Alcaidesa Lighthouse
Known as El Balneario, also with a blue flag like the two previous beaches, this beautiful beach has dark sand and moderate waves. Next to the lighthouse, the hallmark of this beach, which was used as a watchtower, nudists have an official space. The golf courses are adjacent to the beach and the Alcaidesa Golf Club is located nearby.
It has parking spaces, showers, footbaths, beach bar, toilets and is cleaned daily.
Nature
This land blessed by light and water also enhances your emotions with the green of its forests and mountains. The Campo de Gibraltar is rich for its biodiversity, but also for that inherent proposal where nature merges with us, bringing us peace and tranquillity.
In the Pinar del Rey, we recommend a route on foot or by bicycle following the course of the stream. It is easy to do and one of the most beautiful of the four routes currently available in the park.
For birdwatchers, we suggest the Paraje Natural del río Guadiaro, a relatively small wetland where 144 different species rest, many of them migratory, both in summer and winter.
We should not forget that most of the Alcornocales Natural Park belongs to the province of Cádiz and that the municipality of San Roque forms part of it. It is one of the largest natural parks in Spain, where you can see a wide variety of landscapes, Mediterranean forests and a wealth of wildlife. Its caves are particularly noteworthy for their subject matter and artistic value: the Tajo de las Figuras cave, the Laja Alta cave and the Bacinete cave.
